"Our family is thrilled with Southlake Taekwondo. The instructors lead by example. They build confidence in the children of their abilities and are invested in their success. The school provides a respectful and structured environment where learning is fun. I cannot imagine a better place for my kids to grow and excel."

Thanks to Master Rose and his instructors I have learned to become a true Martial Artist. With the support and training from my Southlake ATA family I have even won a World Championship. They are the best.

“My family and I have been involved with Southlake Taekwondo since September 2003. It has been a great family experience that has allowed us to work and train together, not just as parents watching their children in a sport from the sidelines, but actually all together. What a great way to create memories that will last forever!

This is an incredible sport that teaches self confidence, respect, discipline and many other life lessons. It also re-enforces the self defense reasons that got us to join in the first place. Self defense training gives kids and adults the knowledge and confidence to handle unforeseen and intimidating situations that may arise. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!”

John began his training with Master Rose over ten years ago. Now at 16 years old he has been training more than 2/3 of his life and we could not have chosen a better group of people for him to spend so much time with. John has matured into a leader and I am sure it is in large part to the training he receives at Master Rose's Karate for Kids.

"My youngest daughter Mikayla approached me and said she wanted to take Karate. I was very excited, because as a kid and young adult I took Karate. I credit Karate for keeping me out of a lot of trouble. I learned discipline, respect and self defense. It also gave me confidence to do things later in life. So now the search was on for a Karate school. I visited several schools in Mesquite, Tyler and Forney area before coming to Rose's ATA. When I saw the way Mr. Sutherland handled and interacted with the class and the way Master Rose truly loves his students I was sold. After my oldest daughter Rachel watched Mikayla's first class and saw how much fun Mikayla had, she was also hooked and started the very next week. Now I myself and my wife are also taking Karate at Rose's ATA. With this common thread it has made us a closer family and we love it. Thanks to Master Rose and Mr. Sutherland."

What has ATA done for our family? The ATA has given us the determination to become more disciplined in everyday life along with Taekwondo class. It has encouraged us to become more respectful towards others in our lives. It has brought our family closer together and allowed us to share in the fun at ATA competitions and other events. We initially signed our son up to help with discipline and physical fitness, but after only a few months of watching from the bleachers, we soon joined as well. Now we are on our way to become black belts.

Our daughter, Alexz, first joined Master Rose’s school in 2002 as a tiny tiger. Going to the school was the absolute highlight of her day. After school, she would eagerly change into her uniform all the while rushing us, because she didn’t want to miss even one second of class time.

Due to work scheduling changes, we had to take a break from taekwondo for a bit. But, when our schedules were finally in sync, Alexz was very eager to go back to Master Rose’s school. Excited about returning, she regaled her little sister, Kat, with all her memories of how much fun it was. Not wanting to miss out, Kat decided to join up too.

That was in the summer of 2007. To this day, they still are excited about going to class! Perseverance, patience, loyalty, friendship, respect, and sportsmanship are just a few of the virtues that Master Rose and Mr. Sutherland have instilled not only through teaching, but also by example. We are very thankful for having found Master Rose’s Karate for Kids. Our children could not be in better hands.
